COMIC BOOK CLASS
Comic books convey the vibrant world that swirls inside the artist’s mind. In a comic book, you can make anything happen. Pigs can literally fly. Whether it be fantastical or realistic, everyone has a story bursting to get out. Comic books are a fun and impressive way to express yourself. Alexia's specialized curriculum eases artists into the world of storytelling. Alexia, has a B.A. in Creative Writing, wrote a novel, has been published several times and continues to work as a storyboard artist for independent films. With her immense amount of experience, she will effortlessly guide each student on their quest to create the “ultimate comic book” that lies undiscovered in their head.
All courses are offered at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Students are expected to provide their own materials.

BEGINNER
Fun Stories. Fantastic Results.
The beginner Comic Book Class teaches storytelling (Plot: beginning, middle and end), self-expression, creativity, character design, perspective, drawing/coloring skills and organization. Each student will leave with a fully told, brightly colored story on clean boards.
ADVANCED
Comic Strips, Comic Books and Graphic Novels
The advanced Comic Book Classes use the skills learned from each previous class and pushes their book to the next level. This entails more advanced plot and character development, the art to conveying emotion through different types of shots/angles, more detailed drawings and coloring, overall design and tone, etc. The list is endless in the way you can advance in your expression and storytelling.
